LGBT+ Charter at CCC
What is LGBT Youth Scotland’s Charter?
The LGBT Charter is a programme that enables our organisation to proactively improve LGBTQ+ inclusion for staff and service users, through meeting objectives and standards set out by LGBT Youth Scotland. Our goal in undertaking this programme is to ensure all LGBTQ+ staff and centre users feel safe, supported and included.
Why are we doing the Charter?
Corstorphine Community Centre is working towards the LGBT Charter to achieve our Bronze accreditation with LGBT Youth Scotland.
It is our aim to ensure that every person using the community centre is treated equally regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity and to ensure it is a safe, welcoming place for everyone.
Our Journey
Charter Champion Group
Our Charter Champion group has been formed to drive our charter journey forward. This involves engaging with our community, reviewing centre policies to make sure they are inclusive and creating new training.
