In 2022, CCC began a new phase with the move to 5 Kirk Loan, Corstorphine (formerly Westfield House). We purchased the building, with help from the Scottish Land Fund, using the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) process in February 2024.

We have come a long way since the fire which destroyed the Public Hall in 2013. As well as the changes of location, there have been organisational developments. At the time of the fire, the hall was owned by Corstorphine Public Hall Company (CPHC) while the activities and events in the building were run by Corstorphine Youth and Community Centre (CYCC), a charity.  In 2015, CPHC, which had been established in 1892 as a limited company owned by shareholders, who were never paid, or expected, dividends, formally became a charity. In 2017 it changed its name to Corstorphine Community Centre and its status to that of a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO). This made it possible for the two formerly separate organisations to amalgamate in order both to own and operate a community centre.  On 1st September 2018, Corstorphine Community Centre formally took on the staff and assets of Corstorphine Youth and Community Centre.

The combined organisation has gone from strength to strength, with increases in the demand for, and provision of, community activities which illustrate the need for further community spaces in the area. We could not have accomplished this without the help and support of members of the local community and particularly of the volunteers and staff who have kept CYCC, the Public Hall Company and now CCC alive over the past few years.

We have always been committed to providing community facilities in Corstorphine, and although a rebuild on the site of the Public Hall, has not proved possible, the move to our new home has increased the space available for our activities.
