The CCC Timeline

  • 1891 Corstorphine Public Hall Company is set up, funded by public subscription. Shares owned by local people and organisations (including the ‘Lit’)
  • 1892 Public Hall opens
  • 1903 Carnegie Library extension opens
  • 1980 Corstorphine Youth and Community Association (later CYCC) is set up
  • 1982 Public Hall re-opens following renovation, with a programme of activities for young people and others
  • 2013 The Fire
  • 2014 CYCC moves to The Hub, St John’s Road and starts charity shop & activities
  • 2015 Corstorphine Public Hall Company becomes a charity
  • 2017 CPHC becomes CCC – a SCIO
  • 2018 CYCC is dissolved and its assets are transferred to CCC
